Why Do Multigrain Products Taste Better?

When you first start thinking about offering multigrain products to your customers, the health benefits might be what first comes to mind. And while it’s true that multigrains are more nutritious than refined flours, there’s another benefit your customers will get when you offer multigrain frozen bagels or pizza dough. That’s the added taste that these products bring.

While refined flours are often very bland, and need things like sugar, spices and salt to give them some taste, multigrain and whole wheat products come with taste packed right in. These grains, unlike their refined counterparts, have been left whole with very little processing. Refined grains have had much of the grain stripped from it, tenderizing it but also stripping it of most of its flavor. When this grain is baked, it brings a wonderful nutty flavor to the bread or dough; and can also provide for a texture that’s more rustic and authentic.

Your customers might first start ordering multigrain bagels, pizza dough, and other breads because of the many health benefits these grains bring. But once they taste the rich unique flavor packed inside, it will be their preferred choice every time!
