Want to Sell More Pizza? You Can, Just By the Way You Package Dough!

Especially with so many businesses now offering specialty items such as gluten free pizza, whole wheat dough, and organic, all-natural toppings? The mega-chain Domino’s in Australia has started to do just that, and now we’re telling you about it so you can help the trend catch on in America. And the concept is very simple. Typically when customers order pizza, they receive a cardboard box that has one pizza pie sitting in it. But on all sides of that pie are empty areas of cardboard going unused and unappreciated. So to sell more pizza, just fill that box with a square pizza that goes all the way to the edges of the box, so much so that no area of the bottom of the box can be seen. 
 
The idea is that when customers see more pizza in the box, they think that they’re getting more. And probably because they are! And even though it might just be a few more inches of pizza, the customer thinks they’re getting more than they actually are. But it’s enough to get them to continue coming back to you time and time again!
