This special Southwestern creation will be truly appreciated by your customers, as it will help them to join in the fun and festivities – no matter what part of the country you’re in! Best of all, you can use package dough and just a few other ingredients to bring this one together in minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of frozen pizza dough
- Vegetable mixture: 2 cloves garlic, 1 onion, 1 green bell pepper – all thinly sliced and sautéed until slightly caramelized
- Meat mixture: ½ pound lean ground beef browned with a seasoning mixture of 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Mexican cheese blend, grated
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
- ½ cup pizza garnish or pizza sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees, or temperature indicated on package.
- Lay out dough on well-floured surface, rolling to an 1” thickness if necessary.
- Spoon pizza sauce into the center and spread out in an even layer. Top with cheese, vegetables, and meat, in that order and all spread evenly over the crust.
- Place in oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or what’s stated on the package, and remove from oven when crust is crisp and golden and cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately to your eager customers.
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!
