Use Gluten Free Pizza Crust to Make Gluten Free Bread

Gluten Free Pizza CrustMany restaurants offer bread baskets before or with their customer’s meals, and often leave their gluten-free customers feeling left out in the process. So instead of just buying wholesale bread and leaving some without, use gluten free pizza crust instead and let everyone enjoy!

You have a couple of options when using gluten free pizza dough in place of bread. First you can bring it up to room temperature, break off a few pieces, and roll them up into individual dinner rolls. Bake them off according to the package dough instructions, and you’ll have yummy rolls that will look great in any bread basket. Or, you can opt for something different and make a flat bread instead.

Making flat bread is really easy, especially when you’re using retail dough to do it. Roll it out until it’s about an inch thick. If it’s already rolled and you find it too thin, simply fold it over onto itself, and then press down slightly to make one cohesive piece of dough. Then, using the end of a wooden spoon, make small compressions. Drizzle olive oil over top, so that it can fill all those nooks and crannies, and then just sprinkle some chopped fresh rosemary or thyme over top. Just bake it off, reducing the cooking time if necessary, and enjoy!

You may already be using a pizza crust that’s gluten free, so why not turn it into bread and give your gluten-free customers a full menu of choices? It’s really easy to do!
