Turn Your Pizza Dough into Gourmet Grilled Pizza!

With this pizza, pizza dough is shaped in a fresh and appealing way, the toppings are wholesome and delicious, and all put together it brings pizza up to gourmet levels!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package dough, divided in half with each half rolled to a 4” x 2” oval
  • White pizza sauce (or Alfredo sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 asparagus spears, rough ends trimmed
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small wheel of brie, divided into chunks

Instructions:

  1. Liberally grease grill and preheat it to medium.
  2. Working on a well-floured surface, lay out dough flat and brush entire surface with olive oil. Spread white pizza sauce over top, leaving about 1” around the edges. Top with 4 asparagus spears per pizza, then red onion slices. Dot both pieces liberally with Brie and drizzle a touch more olive oil over top.
  3. Place on grill and allow to cook for 5-8 minutes until dough is fully cooked, lightly golden, and firm. If you want the cheese a little more melted, or you want the top of the dough a little browner, simply place a piece of aluminum foil over top while cooking.

As an appetizer or as an entrée, grilled gourmet pizzas are always a hit. And once you start offering them, you can really start to play with all the different gourmet toppings that are out there!
