Turn Wholesale Bread into Salad Bowls!

 Par Baked ShellsThere’s no better lunch combination than a big salad and some wholesome and delicious bread alongside. But what if you actually put the salad into that same tasty bread dough? You can, by easily turning package dough into a salad bowl.

  1. Bring a large pot of oil or a deep-fryer up to a light boil.
  2.  While waiting for the oil to come up to temperature, find a heat-proof boil that can be fully immersed in the oil safely. Turn the bowl over so it’s upside down and mold dough onto it. Fold the dough up and into the bowl and pinch slightly to seal down. When oil is hot enough, place entire dough-wrapped bowl into the oil.
  3. Once the dough on the outside has begun to crisp up and become firm, use tongs to gently fold the dough away from the bowl at the top. When all dough is removed from the edge of the bowl, you can then remove the bowl completely from the dough.
  4. Allow dough to finish cooking in the hot oil for another 3-5 minutes, until the inside and out is completely cooked.
  5. Remove from oil, drain on paper towel and allow to cool completely before piling in the salad ingredients.

These bowls do seem a bit technical at first but once you’ve done one of them you’ll see how easy they are. And how much your customers love them!
