Turn Frozen Rolls into Italian Skillet Bread

 Par Baked ShellsThe chances are good that when you visit your favorite Italian restaurant that you’re given a skillet of soft, tasty bread to start. So why not make this at your own restaurant by using the frozen rolls you already have in your freezer?

Ingredients:

  • 1 package dough
  • ½ teaspoon each of: dried basil, black pepper, dried oregano, dried rosemary, and garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of chili pepper flakes
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Brush a cast iron skillet with oil or non-stick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or as instructed on the package directions.
  2. Place wholesale bread in the skillet. If needed, allow them to rise in a warm place. If already risen, move onto next step.
  3. In a small bowl combine dried herbs, pepper flakes, and melted butter. Stir to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Brush half of the butter mixture over the uncooked rolls. Sprinkle very generously with Parmesan cheese and place in preheated oven.
  5. Bake rolls for 10-15 minutes (or as directed on the package) until rolls are puffed up and golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven, brush with remaining butter and serve to your awaiting customers.
