Turn Frozen Dough Products into Sticky Buns!
February 21 is National Sticky Bun Day, but you don’t need to run out and buy special buns just for the day. Instead you can take the frozen dough products that are already in your freezer and turn it into the most wholesome and delicious sticky buns.
As long as the package dough you’re using is a yeast dough, you can turn them into sticky buns. Just roll the dough out on a well-floured surface, and spread one stick of room temperature butter across. Top with about half a cup of brown sugar, any nut of your choice, and raisins if you choose. Starting at the widest edge, roll the dough tightly until you reach the end of the roll. Then just cut that roll into one-inch segments and lay them, seam-side down, in a baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over top and bake in a hot oven for about 20 minutes.
