Turn Frozen Breadsticks into Pizza Sticks!
Whether you’ve run out of pizza dough and need to get creative, or just want to offer your customers something, these pizza sticks are super easy to make, and tasty too!
Ingredients:
- 1 package frozen breadsticks
- 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
- ½ cup pizza garnish, or pizza sauce
- 1 cup pepperoni, sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees, or as directed on the breadsticks package. Allow breadsticks to defrost completely.
- When ready, take the breadsticks out of the package and carve a small well into the top of each one. Make sure that you don’t slice the entire way through the breadstick, and that you leave about an inch of bread on each end.
- Fill the well first with a bit of pizza sauce (about a tablespoon or two,) a small handful of mozzarella cheese, and a few slices of pepperoni.
- Brush olive oil over the tops of each breadstick and place in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or as package instructs, until the dough bakes up golden, crispy brown and the cheese inside has melted.
When you remove them from the oven, serve these pizza sticks to your customers piping hot, and with a small dish of pizza sauce on the side.
