  • 1 package dough
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili pepper flakes
  • 1 can pureed tomatoes (28 ounces)
  • 8 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1 cup arugula leaves
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and roll out pizza crust
  2. Mix together tomatoes, vinegar, shallot, salt and pepper, and set aside.
  3. Place olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. When hot, add tomatoes, garlic, and basil. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes.
