Serve Up a Cold One with Your Homemade Pizza for National Lager Day!
Throughout November, we talked about wine a lot on this blog. We told you about the best wines to serve with your frozen pizza dough, and even brought attention to the celebration of wine on National Vichyssoise Day. And while there were a couple of days set aside for wine-drinking, December has an entire week celebrating one of the most popular beverages to drink with homemade pizza – beer!
The second week of December is National Lager Week, a week that celebrates the finest beers just like so many days in November celebrated the finest wines. Use the week to bring in a small selection of imported beer for your customers to try, or just put a promotion the beer and lager you already have in stock. Dark ales are thought to go nice with pizza, and there’s really not that huge of a difference in lagers, ales, or beers that your customers will mind if it’s not a bona fide lager that they’re likely to mind.
No one’s forgotten about those adult customers of yours that enjoy having a nice cold glass of beer with their dough and pizza garnish, and in December, they have an entire week to celebrate!
