Sausage Gravy over Frozen Rolls Easily Becomes Biscuits and Gravy

Frozen Bread RollsThere are few dishes that are as comforting as biscuits and gravy. And when you use pre-made bread dough, it’s one that’s super easy to make!

Ingredients:

  • •    1 package frozen rolls
  • •    1 pound pork sausage, crumbled with casings removed
  • •    1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • •    1 ½ cups milk

Instructions:

  1. Cook package dough according to directions.
  2. As rolls are baking, warm a skillet over medium-high heat. Add crumbled sausage and cook until the sausage is completely cooked through, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove sausage from pan, set aside. To the grease in the pan add flour and stir to completely incorporate. Cook for about two minutes before slowing adding milk, stirring the entire time. Heat until the mixture begins to thicken and then lower heat and add sausage back to the pan. Stir to thoroughly mix all the ingredients and then remove from heat.
  4. Split the baked rolls in half and then pour some of the sausage mixture over top, making sure that it spills over the sides and coats a good portion of the plate. Top with the other half of the roll, or lean it against the top half for a nice presentation.

Biscuits and gravy is always a crowd pleaser, and something that all of your customers will love tucking into. And when you use premade rolls, they become even easier to make!
