About the Role:
Production Supervisor ensures that production operates efficiently while maintaining quality standards. They are also responsible to assist in ensuring OSHA compliance, HACCP/HARPC/SQF follow through and GMP compliance throughout the production process. You Will Be Required to Work Weekends

Responsibilities:
• Manage employees by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Ensuring each individual performs their tasks within department standards and operation procedures.
• Perform daily quality inspections on food safety, OSHA regulations, and GMP standards.
• Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Uphold all OSHA regulations, company safety, HACCP/HARPC/SQF, policies and processes.
• Communicate between departments and provide daily reports on production statuses, exposing issues as they arise.
• Oversee material inventories and ensure proper amounts are available for upcoming production runs.
• Assist in conducting period ending physical inventories at the completion of every four-week period as scheduled.
• Ensure that all employees are properly trained to perform the job functions requested of them. If needed, train new employees to do so, or retrain current employees who do not meet job standards.
• If an employee performs his job unsafely, address it immediately with the production manager to have him/her removed from the job until retraining can be completed.
Qualifications:
• 2 yr. Degree in Production Management or a related subject or equivalent work experience.
• Training in HACCP/HARPC programs and OSHA regulations or be willing to complete necessary training for each.
• Must be able to work effectively as a team with other managers and directors to ensure all company standards, goals, and deadlines are met or exceeded.
• Strong management and leadership skills with excellent communication skills, written and oral.
• Must be able to operate and troubleshoot all production equipment.
• Computer literate, experience with Microsoft excel and word.
• Expect that all aspects of production policies and regulations, including but not limited to incident management, recall and food security, personnel practices of contaminate control, cleaning and sanitation, processing equipment, and more, exist and must be known while performing Production Supervisor duties.
• Expect to apply control measures where there are critical control points within facility.
• Must be capable of keeping clean, legible, and organized record keeping notes on policy-controlled production documents.
• Must be capable of being an expert in all facility procedures and policies to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient production is in effect by all employees.
• You must be responsible to report any food safety or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
