Placing Spiders on Everyday Frozen Pizza to Jazz Up a Kids Menu

Frozen Pizza DoughEvery restaurateur is always looking for new ways to jazz up their kids menu and make it even more fun. Here’s a way you can do it making frozen pizza the way you always do, but turning it into a fun spider web!

Begin by assembling your pizza dough as you normally would (standard pepperoni works best,) but without placing any cheese on it. Then, cut out long pieces of mozzarella cheese. You’ll need 6-8 pieces that are about three inches in length, and 10-15 pieces that are about one inch in length.

Place one long piece of cheese across the pizza, so that it reaches out to the middle. It should go right to the edge of the Italian pizza dough. Continue with the rest of the longer pieces of cheese, spacing them about an inch apart and going all the way around the pizza.

Once all the longer pieces are placed, place the shorter pieces of cheese in between the long pieces, going in the other direction, to form a spider web look. Continue with rest of shorter pieces of cheese.

Once your spider web is complete the pizza can then be baked, according to package directions. While it’s baking, create your spider by cutting a black olive in half, and cutting another black olive into eight thin strips.

After the pizza has finished baking, place the two halves of a black olive side by side to create the spider’s body, and place the eight strips along the spider’s body. Now you have a creepy-crawly (and delicious!) treat to serve all your youngest customers!
