Pizza Rolls are a Great Way to Use Frozen Pizza Shells!

Frozen Pizza DoughLooking at those frozen pizza shells and wondering how else you could use them, other than to offer your customers the best pizza in town? Pizza rolls are a great way to use up that dough, make more of that precious freezer space, and draw in more business!

What are pizza rolls? They’re much like cinnamon rolls. Except instead of being a delicious sweet treat that uses cinnamon and nutmeg, they’re a savory entrée or appetizer using pizza sauce and toppings and they’re incredibly easy to make!

If the dough is frozen, you will need to thaw it out; and if the dough is unrolled, you’ll need to roll it out into a fairly large sheet of dough. After that you just need to cover it in sauce and all the different toppings you want to offer. Pepperoni pizza rolls, meat-lovers pizza rolls, or cheese-lovers pizza rolls – the options are truly endless! You can go a little crazy with toppings if you’d like, as you’ll be rolling the entire thing up anyway.

Start at the long edge of the dough and roll towards the other edge, keeping the dough tucked under itself and tucking the toppings under along the way, if necessary. Once the entire sheet of dough has been rolled up, press the seam into the rest of the dough gently so that it disappears. This will prevent the rolls from falling apart. Then, place it in your oven and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 – 15 minutes.  Once they've finished baking let them cool for about 5 minutes and then you can cut them and serve!

Pizza rolls are super easy to make and once your customers hear of them, they’ll be flooding through the door to try them!
