Offer Your Customers Meat and Potatoes Homemade Pizza!
Just about everyone loves homemade pizza. But sometimes, you run into the crowd that will always choose meat and potatoes as their favorite type of meal. Now, you can offer everyone everything that they love most with this meat and potatoes pizza!
Ingredients:
- 1 pizza crust
- 1 small potato, peeled and cut very thinly into rounds
- 1 cup pizza garnish or pizza sauce
- ½ cup Italian sausage, removed from casing, crumbled, and cooked
- ½ cup chopped fresh sage leaves
- 1 ½ cups provolone cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, or the temperature you normally use for cooking pizza.
- Place dough on a well-floured surface and roll to about 1 ½ inches thick, if necessary.
- Spread sauce onto and around dough, leaving the traditional edge for crust. Sprinkle with provolone cheese, then chopped sage. Top with potato slices and sausages and place in the preheated oven.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, until dough is puffed up and golden brown, and cheese has melted.
Serve up the pizza under the name “Meat and Potatoes Pizza” and just watch your customers’ reaction! It’ll be something new and fresh for them, and it’s sure to please a crowd!
