Nacho Cheese Sauce for Your Frozen Breadsticks!
There’s a reason not many restaurants make their nacho cheese sauce from scratch (if they even have it.) Most times this type of sauce is recreated from scratch, it turns out grainy and gloopy, and not very nice at all. With this easy recipe though, you can start offering your own signature nacho cheese sauce to dip frozen breadsticks into, or even drizzle over pizza dough with your own signature pizza!
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- ½ cup pepper jack cheese, grated
- ¼ cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup evaporated milk, plus ½ cup
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Place both types of cheese in a pot, shake cornstarch over top and then mix to coat cheese entirely with cornstarch. Add 1 cup of evaporated milk, hot sauce, and salt.
- Place pot over medium-low heat and cook until cheese is melted and silky smooth. Add more evaporated milk if the sauce is too thick.
Want to make super-easy, from-scratch chips to go along with this sauce? Just cut up defrosted thin pizza crust into wedges, drizzle with oil and bake until crisp. Your customers will go crazy for the combination!
