Mini Monkeys Made Using Frozen Bread Dough!

Frozen Pizza DoughMonkey bread sure is a crowd pleaser! But what about when you don’t need to please a crowd, but rather only a table of four? Or a table of two? Then you need mini monkeys – small balls of wholesome and delicious frozen bread dough!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package bread dough, completely thawed
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
  3. Pinch off pieces of the dough, so that you have small rounds of dough roughly the size of golf balls.
  4. One by one, dip the dough balls into the melted butter, and then into the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Sprinkle a few pieces of nuts over top of each. Place each piece of dough onto the baking sheet as you’re finished with them. If you have any remaining butter or sugar mixture, pour these over top of the balls before placing into the oven.
  5. Place in the oven and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of dough balls comes out clean.
  6. Remove and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

You can serve an entire batch of these to a hockey or baseball team, or just serve up four or five to a romantic table for two. When you make mini-monkeys, the choice is yours!
