Making Sandwiches from Frozen Pizza Shells? You Bet You Can!

Have you ever thought of offering sandwiches at your pizza restaurant? Maybe you have. But have you thought of using your frozen pizza shells to do it? You can! And not only are they super tasty, they’re super easy to make, too.

Simply lay your retail pizza dough down on a lightly floured work surface. Then, cut it into six equal squares and cut those squares in half to create two triangles out of each square. On each triangle place one slice of ham and one slice of provolone, Swiss, or American cheese. Then fold the ham over the cheese.

Once your sandwiches are assembled, start at the wide edge and then roll it up, until each is completely rolled. Don’t worry if the ham or cheese shows through the sides a little bit. That will just make the cheese gooier and the ham crispier – which will make them even more delicious!

After they’re all rolled up, place them on a baking sheet and bake them in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for about 15 minutes. Once the commercial pizza dough has baked up golden and crispy, your sandwiches are ready! Serve them piping hot, at room temperature, or even after being chilled in the refrigerator. Your customers will love them, and you’ll see your profits soar with the added item on your menu!
