Keeping Delivery Drivers of Homemade Pizza Safe
If you run a pizzeria or restaurant that offers homemade pizza delivery, then the issue of their safety has probably already crossed your mind. After all, those that deliver that hot Italian pizza dough report hundreds of types of assault every week in the United States. So what can you do to keep your drivers safe at all times?
Essentially, you need to place them in an environment that’s as similar to the environment of your restaurant as possible. Be sure that they never have too much cash on them at one time, so that criminals won’t have any incentive to try anything, and always send drivers out at least two at a time, as there’s always safety in numbers. Of course, keep up with all the order verification methods you’re currently using, such as verifying phone numbers and addresses and always, always be wary of any very unusual orders that are placed.
It’s not something anybody wants to think about. And it’s certainly not what you had in mind when you opened your doors, just wanting to sell the best frozen pizza available. But nothing is more important than the safety of your staff, and we know you’re looking for tips all the time on how to keep them as safe as possible, at all times.
