For decades pizzerias have been taking down the name, address, and phone number of anyone that orders a pizza from them. Largely this has been so that those in the pizzeria would know who ordered the homemade pizza, and where to deliver it to. But the next time someone calls in or comes into your restaurant to order some of your delicious frozen pizza dough, make sure you get their email address too. It could help you sell even more of that dough and pizza garnish in the future.
Once you have the email address of your customer, you’ll be able to send them coupons and tell them about promotions directly, which can drastically cut back on your marketing budget and put more money right in your pocket. You can also use it to just pass along nice personal messages, such as a Christmas card or other holiday greetings. Of course, make sure the customer wants to receive this information before you add them to your email subscriber list, but many will, as most people today are turning to their phones and emails today to keep them informed about what’s going on around them.
