You can add an entirely new dimension to your menu just by adding a few different dips and sauces to dip frozen breadsticks or pita chips into. Here’s a crowd-pleaser that you’ll see fly out your door – hot spinach dip!

Ingredients for 4 individual servings:

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, put through a press
  • 2 pounds cleaned and trimmed spinach, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot chili pepper sauce
  • ¾ cup mozzarella, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Breadsticks

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and lightly grease four individual-sized ramekins. Drizzle olive oil in a very large pot and set over medium heat. When hot add onion and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
  2. Add spinach and cook until completely wilted, about 8 minutes. When done, press into a strainer using a wooden spoon to remove as much of the moisture as possible.
  3. Place same pot back over low heat and add heavy cream and cream cheese. Whisk until cheese is melted and then add spinach, as well as all remaining ingredients, excluding the breadsticks.
  4. Pour mixture evenly into ramekins and then place all serving dishes into the preheated oven. Cook for about 15 minutes and remove. Allow to completely cool, then refrigerate and cook individual servings for another 10 minutes upon order.
