Hot and Spicy Pizza on Italian Pizza Dough

But after coming up with this recipe, and tasting it for ourselves, we think it’ll make a great menu addition on any day of the year. You can use any pizza dough for this, but for an especially authentic meal, use Italian pizza dough as the base.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package dough
  • 1 can of spicy pizza sauce
  • Spicy sausage or spiced meat, cut into thin rounds
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • ½ red onion, sliced into thin rings
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapenos, roughly chopped
  • 3 teaspoons dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. If needed, roll out the dough and place on a greased pizza sheet or stone.
  2. Place a thin layer of sauce over dough, then the mozzarella cheese and the spicy meat. Top with sliced red onions and pickled jalapenos, and sprinkle oregano over the entire thing.
  3. Place in preheated oven and allow to cook for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the crust is crisp and golden.

As we said, once you taste this spicy dish, it will become a regular menu item!
