December 9 is National Pastry Day and Time to Celebrate your Frozen Bread Dough!

National Pastry DayOn December 9, pull out your frozen rolls, frozen breadsticks, and all your other frozen bread dough and celebrate National Pastry Day!

The exact origination of National Pastry Day is not known, but it is known that the tradition of eating pastries has been around since 2600 B.C. – when the ancient Egyptians made pastries that looked a lot like doughnuts and dipped them into wine. We’ve already told you how to use our dough to make doughnuts, but you can shape it into just about any pastry shape you like, and bake it up to offer to your customers. Or, bake it according to the package instructions, and just pass along to your customers that they’re helping celebrate National Pastry Day just by eating the delicious crust of your pizza.

There are lots of national food holidays around here that we love, but when they focus on breads and different types of dough, we love it even more. So start getting all your ideas ready now so that on December 9 you’ll be ready to help your customers celebrate yet another really fun food day!
