Celebrate National Stuffing Day by Using It to Replace Frozen Pizza Dough

StuffingNormally we’re bringing you all kinds of ways to celebrate your frozen pizza dough and tell you about delicious ways to make homemade pizza with it. But on November 22, we’re telling you about another day you can celebrate by actually setting aside the pizza crust for now, and using stuffing in its place!

November 22 is National Stuffing Day, another step on the path to Thanksgiving! You can easily use stuffing as the crust for your pizza by just tossing it together with some egg, and pressing it very firmly into a baking sheet. If the sheet you’re using even has a slight lip around its edge, you can press the stuffing right up the sides, mimicking the look of crust even more authentic. Make sure the pan you’re using is lightly buttered before pressing it in, to ensure that it does not get stuck inside the pan. Then, place parchment paper over the stuffing, and place a heavy-bottomed pan on top of the parchment paper. That will press the stuffing even more firmly into the pan, and ensure for a nice crisp crust.

Of course with a crust made of stuffing, other traditional Thanksgiving items come to mind for the toppings. We suggest cooked turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and perhaps even some corn. Place all of these items onto the stuffing after it’s been cooked in a hot oven for about 15 minutes, and you’ll have a wonderful Thanksgiving pizza to offer your customers!
