Caprese Salad on Pizza Dough!

Frozen Pizza DoughCaprese salad is a big hit among many, and now you can offer it to your customers on pizza dough too!

Ingredients:

  • 1 thin pizza crust
  • 1 can of pesto
  • 3 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, or 1 tablespoon balsamic reduction

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees, or as directed on package dough. Grease a pizza sheet as you normally would.
  2. Spread the pesto evenly along the surface of the dough, making sure to leave about an inch along the edge for the crust.
  3. On top of the pesto, place tomatoes over entire surface. Then, top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  4. Lightly drizzle balsamic vinegar or reduction over toppings.
  5. Place pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 10 – 15 minutes, or as directed on the package. The crust should be crispy and golden brown and the cheese should be melted.
  6. Remove from oven, allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing, and then serve to your awaiting customers.
