Apples and Cinnamon as a Pizza Garnish? We Think So!

 Pizza DoughDessert pizza is nothing new, but there is a new way you can serve it to your customers. Simply use cinnamon and apples as a pizza garnish instead of the usual icing and sour cherries, and your customers will be delighted!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package dough
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  •  1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place pizza dough on a pizza pan and sprinkle with raisins.
  3. Mix together apples, sugar, butter, lemon juice and cinnamon in a large bowl. Turn to ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly coated and combined. Sprinkle over top of raisins and dough.
  4. When oven is hot place pie in and bake for 15 minutes, or until dough is crisp and golden, and apples can be easily pierced with a fork.
  5. When done, remove from oven and allow it to sit for 5 minutes to cool slightly. Slice it up and it’s ready to serve!

Your customers have undoubtedly had dessert pizza before. But once they serve this comfort concoction, they’ll never have it any other way!
