Another Way to Use Wholesale Pizza Dough on Banana Lover’s Day
As we’ve told you, this month celebrates Banana Lover’s Day on August 27th. But when choosing a wholesale pizza dough recipe to bring to you to celebrate the day, we couldn’t decide between sweet and savory. So while you may have already made that delectable Banana’s Foster dish, now you can also celebrate with this peppery pizza.
Ingredients:
- 1 package dough
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 banana pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus 2 tablespoons
- ½ package (4 oz.) cream cheese, room temperature
- ¼ cup Feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Place two tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté onion, banana pepper, green pepper, and garlic for about 5 minutes. Set mixture aside.
- In a large bowl mix together cream cheese, Feta cheese, basil, oregano, sage, and two tablespoons olive oil.
- Preheat the oven according to instructions on the package, and place pizza crust on a greased baking sheet. Spread with cream cheese mixture, and then sprinkle onion mixture over top. Finish with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese over everything.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until crust is golden brown and cheese has melted.
