Alfredo Sauce for Your Pizza Dough

Alfredo sauce pizza

White pizza garnish is nothing new to pizza. It’s been a hot trend for years when making gourmet pizzas that include unique toppings such as spinach, Portobello mushrooms, or salmon; and typically crème fraiche or regular béchamel sauce has been used. But these white sauces have become yesterday’s news to your customers, and they’ve seen it all before. That is until you serve them fresh pizza dough topped with Alfredo sauce!
Ingredients:
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions:
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add cream and simmer for a few minutes to let it warm through and thicken. Add garlic and simmer for two minutes more.
  2. Add cheese, increasing heat if needed to allow it to melt, and whisk just until cheese has melted. Remove from heat, stir in fresh parsley, and start topping!
Top this sauce with anything you’d put in pasta Alfredo – roasted chicken, roasted garlic, mushrooms, or even seafood.
