A Fun and Innovative Way to Cut Pizza Dough for Your Kids’ Menu

November 21 is National Gingerbread Day, and rather than pepper you with yet another dessert pizza recipe, we were inspired to tell you about an idea we had that’s a little bit different, and perhaps even more fun! It’s simply cutting the pizza dough you’re already using in the shape of gingerbread men and women! To boost up the fun, and to feed bigger kids, you can even give them a plate with an entire gingerbread family on it!

The idea is so simple. Simply roll out package dough as you normally would, and then, using simple gingerbread men cookie cutters, cut out the shapes. When done, gather up the remaining dough and then roll it back out, and then just continue to cut your shapes. Keep these on a baking sheet in your walk-in fridge, covered with a damp towel, so they’ll always be ready to go whenever a little one orders them. The other great thing about these gingerbread pizzas is that you don’t get a lot of pizza crust right at the very edge – something not a lot of kids eat anyway.

This is such a great and simple idea, and one the kiddie customers visiting your restaurant will be sure to remember – and beg their parents to go back to when it’s family pizza night. And of course, it’s an idea that’s great for the entire holiday season too!
